  About The Artist

Gary Partin studied in the School of Architecture and Arts at Auburn and has spent over forty-five years in the graphic arts fields. Since his first award in 1954, Partin's  work has gained recognition by its acceptance in more than 300 collections and commissions, including corporations and Government acquisitions. He has judged numerous shows and his works have been reproduced in several calendars and for covers of sport fishing magazines. He is a noted maritime painter.

His personal travels have taken him to the contiguous 48 states, Mexico, northwest Canada, and northeast to the Canadian "maritimes"- New Brunswick, Cape Briton. and Nova Scotia, to the  U.S. and British Virgin Islands in the West Indies.
His art reflects his travels of most of the Northwest Hemisphere.  Concerning a one man show in the seaport  city of Destin Florida, a newspaper stated "Visitors to the gallery are already familiar with Mr. Partin's paintings and while his new works continue to reflect aspects and moods of the sea....and man's relationship to it...they include subjects and meanings not previously seen in his works."

Partin and his wife, Deborah, enjoy the greatness of this country, and Gary continues to create statements of their travels. Their home is in Pensacola, Florida.
